Two Degrees East, Three Degrees West
Two Degrees East, Three Degrees West, is an attempt to tell the story of a time when Albuquerque’s South Broadway neighborhood institutions were crucial for the survival of the Black community in the segregated city. It was a time when people built and maintained what they needed to thrive despite whatever restrictions and obstacles were placed before them. The collection is a celebration of self-determination and a memorial to what has been let go.
